Mendeleev Communications is a high quality journal published jointly by the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society of Chemistry. The results of chemical research in states of the former Soviet Union had hitherto mainly been available through the translation of articles already published in Russian. Mendeleev Communications contains original papers published directly in English, avoiding the delays inherent in the conventional communication channels. For the first time, the international chemical community has rapid access to the very best of chemical research from the Russian Federation.
