Far Eastern Entomologist = Дальневосточный энтомолог - journal published by Far East Branch of the Russian Entomological Society and Laboratory of Entomology, Institute of Biology and Soil Science, Vladivostok.Far Eastern Entomologist is a rapid journal in English with Russian summary which publish the original papers on entomology, including taxonomy, systematic, morphology, phylogeny, as well biology, ecology, and biogeography. The reviews, comprehensive or revisionary studies of the insects, the phylogeny and taxonomic catalogues are preferred of insect groups are especially welcome and have priority for the publication. The area covered by the journal is extended from Chukotka to South-East Asia and from Ural Mountains to Japan.The Far Eastern Entomologist has international registration number - ISSN 1026-051X and refers by Zoological Record and Referativnyi Zhurnal (Russia). There is no requirement for page charge.In 1994-2007 one hundred seventy nine issues with 251 papers and short notes have been published. The authors of the papers are scientists from Russia (Moscow, Sankt Petersburg, Perm, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, Komsomolsk-na-Amure, Magadan), Ukraine, Belorussia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Iran, Germany, France, Sweden, Slovakia, USA, Canada, and Australia.In publishing papers (N 1-179) eight families, six tribes and subtribes, 63 genera and subgenera, 339 species and 13 subspecies have been described as new for science. Two families, 11 genera and 172 species are firstly recorded from Russia. One family, 34 genera, and 141 species are new for the fauna of the Russian Far East.
