The journal Thermophysics and Aeromechanics was founded by the Siberian Branchof the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), the Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS, and the Khristianivich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS. The journal T and A publishes original reports, reviews, and discussions on the following topics: hydrogasdynamics,heat and mass transfer, turbulence, means and methods of aero- and thermophysical experiment, physics of low-temperature plasma, and physical and technical problems of energetics. These topics are the prior fields of investigation at the Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS andthe Khristianivich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS. These publications promote an exchange of information between the researchers of Russia and the international scientific community.The journal T and A is published in Novosibirsk but its authors represent Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea,the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, USA, etc.The journal publishes articles of both a basic and applied character. Results on theoretical and numerical simulation, experimental data and also descriptions of experimental technology andnew engineering principles are presented. The journal also prints promotional information and announcements.
